STX Canada Marine awarded design work for six advanced PSVs to be built in Florida
STX Canada Marine is pleased to announce the contract award from Eastern Shipbuilding Group (ESG) for the design of a modified version of the diesel-electric PSV 23DE design. Six (6) vessels of this design shall be built at the ESG facilities in Panama City, Florida for Harvey Gulf International Marine.
The vessels are 89.0m LOA x 19.5m x 7.5m Offshore Support Vessels with approximately 5650 DWT and are well suited for world-wide operations, meeting all of the latest Marpol and IMO regulations. Delivery of the first vessel is scheduled for August 2011 with the follow-on vessel delivered at 5 month intervals thereafter. The project will result on a 4 month design effort at STXM to prepare the detail design package for the modified vessel. |
